The Recipe
So many ways to begin the journey and so many wonderful sources of practice and inspiration!
Whatever path you take, the underlying core, the main ingredient for creating a life of spiritual connection is LOVE.
When Love infuses day-to-day living, we are connected within the divine life force energy field; the source of growth, healing and peace.
Teachers & Inspiration
Here are just a few of the most influential teachers in my Life....
mysticism
The treasury of mystical knowledge from our ancestors across the globe continues to fill me with awe and reverence. Amazing treasure troves of in depth and often obscure practice and insight exist within Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Taoism, Shamanism and almost every spiritual tradition. Its ok to dip your toes and your whole being into exploring many of these rich traditions without claiming to be a Master or expert.
Among many different explorations, my study with Thomas Huebl has been most impactful for me. As a modern day mystic, his teaching infuses humility, humor, faith and modern applications - making complex truths from the ancients simpler through practice and self authenticity.
Heart centered healing - Universal Life Force Energy
It's hard for me to believe how much my understanding of the words HEART and HEALING have changed over my lifetime! Where I used to think Healing meant overcoming illness, I now see Healing as a continual part of our life journey - healing of body, mind, and spirit as well as healing of our planet. Healing is our mission to Repair the World - T'kun Olam - and it starts with our own fullness, centering and self healing.
My discovery of Reiki as a complementary healing practice - without Ego or "results" has helped me to connect with Divine Source in ways I never even knew existed. Teachers Meredith Young-Sowers, (author of Agartha, Wisdom Bowls, Spirit Heals) and Reiki master teacher, Maxine Bornstein (www.reikibythesea.com), have nurtured my passion for intuitive healing practice, and for them I am grateful! I am blessed to be surrounded by spiritually wise women in my family who have been a beacon to me during difficult times and enormous growth spurts -- thank you!
The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS)
For over 30 years, IONS’ research and innovation has inspired my passion for the integration of our rapidly developing modern scientific model with universal and ancient spiritual, intuitive and transcendent human experiences. “Noetic sciences reveal a deeper understanding of our inner worlds, our shared reality, and the interconnection of al things.”
At age 20, I majored in physics because I wanted to discover how to explain the existence of ESP and miraculous events through quantum physical laws. Today, IONS is pioneering and partnering with global thought leaders and researchers to illuminate a paradigm shift in the understanding of consciousness and the nature of humanity.
organizational development, human dynamics & leadership
Over the years, I've studied with some great leaders and earned certifications and experience in the fields of Leadership and the human dynamics within groups of any kind. (you can check out my bio if this kind of stuff is meaningful to you.)
My teacher and former business partner, David Kantor, Ph.D., spent over 60 years as a brilliant family and couples therapist, gifted teacher, writer and lifelong student of human dynamics. We worked closely together on the development of his theories that helped leaders "read the room" and perceive the invisible dynamics playing out and how we create Models to make sense of things . Co-authoring a chapter in Peter Senge’s seminal book, The Fifth Discipline led me to the groundbreaking contributions of Otto Scharmer, and Theory U; linking the intelligences of the head. heart, and hand. (www.ottoscharmer.com).
All of these thought leader colleagues, and working as a consultant and executive helped me think about the enormous opportunity we are faced with globally, calling for a transformational shift in consciousness and how we work together as a civilization. My systems thinking background and experience informs my practice as I work to increase both my intellectual understanding and compassion for our complex global political landscape and the simple daily suffering and pain prevalent around us each moment.
